Again, this is one of my favorite sections of the book, especially the Crowley parts, since that's where most of the action is.
I love the interaction between Crowley and Hastur and Ligur, using Holy Water to get rid of one of them. (Seriously, how the heck did Crowley get his hands on an emergency supply of Holy Water? That's pretty intense.)
The telephone line chase scene, which was really fun to imagine.
Lastly, one of my biggest favorite scenes in the book, Crowley storming into Aziraphale's burning book shop.
I know this is a pretty popular topic and has probably been discussed to death at this point, but I'll always love this scene.
Crowley is tired and agitated, he could care less about all the firemen as he makes his way into the bookshop in flames, all he cares about is finding Aziraphale. The angel is his only friend he can turn to really in this world and he'd go into a flaming building just to find him.
Yes, he curses him, as well as Heaven and Hell, but this is such a stressful and intense moment for him. Where is everyone?! He wants to find Aziraphale, but can't.
Next, he gets shot by a blast of water and his glorious yellow reptile eyes are revealed. I really loved that scene a lot and I hope they do great cinematography for that part in the miniseries. Crowley is probably at his most vulnerable at that point and we see the truth behind his sunglasses. He's a serpent, but he's still the most human demon of all.
I just found this whole sequence extremely fun to read, especially seeing how Crowley does care for the angel.
What do you guys think?
