I could probably go on forever about this series. It holds a special place in my heart and is, for me personally, my absolute favorite game series ever and I can replay it multiple times.
I'm going to cut the gush and just start off with this:
If you've played Portal 1 and 2, listen to this. If you haven't, listen anyway, it's gorgeous!

--You're going to kill me with all these songs. I'm glad someone else loves Portal as much as I do. I don't have too many videos because I was a lame butt and got Portal 2 the second it came out. I have... one picture I drew. Which was a lonngg time ago and I draw a lot better then I do now. Though! I missed out on a lot of the cool Portal fandom stuff

Cave Johnson is /gorgeous/ that man is my man crush. Forever along side Danny Wallace, David Tennant....and a few other people including some fictional ones I think are obvious by now--
Ahh! I remember the turret remix ;v ; The turrets are so cute, I can't handle them.

Portal 2 just made me really happy. I will say when I got to the part of defeating GLaDOS, I was like 'Woah the games over so fast?' and then it wasen't. It shocked me at first because I didn't expect Wheatley to end up going bad.

Oh, man, my first playthrough of Portal 2 is probably the most enjoyable gaming experience I ever had.
Same thing, after "defeating" GLaDOS, I was all: "Whoa. The game's over already? Cool! Wheatley we did it!"
And here's the kicker. When I was going to the elevator and he was talking about how giant he was, I literally said out load to myself," Whoa, okay, buddy. You better not go evil on me or anything."
I don't know why I didn't see it coming! In retrospect, I should have seen it coming but I didn't! I can't get over how well written that part was. That whole scene was great. The music, the dialogue, Wheatley's "puffer fish" look, it was great!
Also, I'd like to note that in the You Monster remix, one of the chorus lines is
I thought you were my enemy while all along you were my friend.
I can totally see Aziraphale and Crowley shaking hands at that part of the song. XD

The Portal 2 game was scripted so well. That's why I love Valve with all my heart.
Yeah! You don't expect it at all! He's so happy and nice and you just, don't expect it to go the way it does.
I really love some of the human Wheatley and evil Wheatley concepts. Some of them have the best hair B)
You just had the luck of guessing it all! I think every players face when from grinning to slowly frowning in absolute shock.
Though I love the connection you build with GLaDOS because of this.
-Oh man! I can see that too!
(I apologize about being so slow! I got pulled onto Iscribble and I was spammed by friends.)

Valve has all of my love when it comes to game writing. I love their stories so much and their script is both serious AND hilarious. That's where I'm hooked. I love to laugh and Valve makes me laugh so much, even in intense situations. I love the development that happened with GLaDOS. I really loved Caroline, too, even though that when that was introduced it was a little obvious of how those "two" characters were connected, but I still love it. I'm normally not a fan of humanized versions of robots, but there are some really great designs. My favorite would have to be by this lovely person: not-quite-normal.tumblr.com/I love her work and her animations really inspires me. Seriously, check out her art and animation tag. I'm hoping I can get a good animation program on my computer so I can start animating at a higher level. (Also, pshaw, there's no rush, so don't worry about it. Respond when it's convenient for you.

They're very hilarious. That's why almost all of their games are just...
Caroline made me so sad! I didn't really get the connection the first few times I heard her, but by the second time you could tell who she was. I guess that's what made it sad is you knew from the beginning who it was just from listening to her. You saw this happy not the brightest bulb lady and it clicked just who it was all in the end.
Normally I don't like humanized anything, but a few peole have really cool designs. Ohhh! Yes I love that animator! I would fish out a link for my favorite artists who does humanizaton but sadly I can't right now since I have so many tabs...
I hope you get your program some day! ;v ;

crowleythesnake: Yes, listen to everything! lacrypte: Yeah, Caroline was great and while there was still humor in the story, there was still some darkness to it. Granted, the first Portal was a lot more darker than Portal 2, though both Rattman dens in each game still freak me out slightly. There's even some unused audio of Caroline refusing something from Johnson and apparently J.K. Simmons (Cave Johnson) found the script to be too disturbing and refused to record the lines. Some people speculate that Caroline might have been abused by Johnson and that's pretty scary to think about. Gosh, I just love how dark AND funny Valve can be. It's crazy. Haha, tell me about having too many tabs open. XD And thank you. Maybe some day. ; u ;

I love dark games myself, which is another reason why I love Valve so much. You get the best of both! Dark /and/ funny! Can't beat that, right?
Oh man the hidden rooms are horribly creepy, expectantly the one with the radio.
